I usually write my novels during the evenings, leaving Friday evening clear
to drink wine and relax!
Weekends, when time permits, I copy type my hand written manuscript or edit.
Last week I wrote almost seven thousand words over the four evenings and
when I started at the beginning of the week my pen was full of ink.
Yesterday, five writing days later, my pen was empty.
Luckily I have a box of fifty.
I prefer to write manuscripts using black ink, red for editing naturally,
but I use blue and sometimes green ink for notes.
At the moment I'm on a roll and my word count is mounting as the story
reaches its climax. I have approximately 85000 words now, the target is 120000
or there about, so at my current production rate, not long to go before the
book is complete.
As this is the third and final book in the Torc Trilogy, all the loose ends
have to be tied up satisfactorily, leaving nothing for the reader to feel
cheated or dissatisfied about.
Having spent a couple of weeks off work over the Christmas and New Year
period, I am full of creativity and ideas, but as the month progresses and the
stress of work takes hold my word count will probably slow up.
Give up the day job methinks!
Happy reading wherever you are.
